More Brides

Recently, I needed to make more cards for coworkers who recently got married. I'm not gonna lie, my plan was to recreate the wedding card I made last month for another coworker but my sister scolded me. She told me to stop being lazy and create a different card. I don't often follow my sister's advice but I took it to heart this time.

I didn't really know the coworkers so I couldn't make cards that I felt matched their personalities so I cased this very classic card from Liz. Original card and details can be found here.

Covid Brides

My heart goes out to all the Brides who had weddings originally scheduled for 2020. Many of those weddings were rescheduled, canceled, and rescheduled again during those first nine months of the pandemic. Some of those weddings are finally being happening this summer/fall. The weddings don't necessarily look the same as originally planned but those Brides finally get to celebrate finding the love of their lives with their closest friends and family.

One of my coworkers is getting married next week. I don't know her very well and was having a hard time figuring out what style of card to make. After doing a quick google search, I found her wedding website. No wedding party details, no signs of a color scheme, all those little things that would inspire a more personalized wedding card. Her wedding website was beautiful though, classic with a twist of modernity. So I did some more googling, this time for cards created by other crafters and found this classic with a twist created by Stasia.

A (Blackberry) Bliss(ful) Wedding

On Saturday I went to the wedding of a dear friend. She looked beautiful, the groom wore a velvet tuxedo jacket of deep emerald and the bridesmaids wore blackberry bliss dresses of their choosing.

I didn't know the groom was going to wear green in advance but I knew that the bridesmaids were going to wear blackberry bliss so I knew I had to incorporate that into the wedding card. I also knew that the bride loves desserts.

I was inspired by cards from Linda Cullen and Amy Koenders so I added those cards and links below for your viewing pleasure as well.
